That man with the dirty blonde hair there, he's in a rut. Always has been; his life mission used to be to work for the Peace Corps., but then he fell head over heels for a girl, married her and from the moment he said the first "hi" to her, which I would guess is about... 6 years ago, he's been in this rut.
Too bad for him, me sitting here on the table across living the life. I don't mean to sound arrogant but love is overrated. I know that for a fact. Take my friend Kevin for example. Ha.
He's always been a bit of a nerd. Uses lines from chemistry books to pick up chicks and likes the smell of the library. Until one day he got the girl, the one every guy was crazy about. How this miracle happened is still a miracle to me. Actually, I wouldn't call it a miracle because it was rather unfortunate... Yes, she cheated on him. Damn straight. He was just one of her little experiments. He was irrevocably broken by it. Now he's a no-name accountant at a small printing company.
Love never got anyone, anywhere. Kevin for one, my parents for another, even United States "royalty" can't keep a relationship up. And for those of you out there who think you're in love and about to take the next big step: Stop. End it now. I'm telling you before you find yourself in the same position as blondie there.
And for those who have already taken the big leap... well I guess you'd better get a lawyer.
Like I said, this cheesy, corny, you're my soul mate business, this thing you people call love - it's overrated. Damn straight overrated.
