"Laura," Zypher growled. "You probably don't know what I'm here for, so I'll tell you. Remember the day you-"

He was interrupted by me running the other way.

"Not wise, Laura. I will not waste my time chasing you. But I warn you, you will be plagued by five horrors on your walk to the bus stop."

I stopped as he said that, and I watched him descend down the crevasse as it sealed back up.

Out of breath, I continued to walk to the second bus stop twenty minutes away.

I guess I'm not very wise.
