The Crystal Ball

The sky is starting to get dark. The bunnies are still down there. Staring out across the lake I wonder if they are anywhere near in retrieving the crystal. Moments later, George appears from the hole.

“George” I say hoping to hear some good news.

“Here we have the crystal” George says. Three bunnies come out and push a crystal in front of me. I pick it up. Encrusted in mud, I hold a small blue circular shaped crystal, it seems to have lost it’s colour over time. I wonder how long it has been down there for.

“This... is the crystal?”

“Yes, that’s the crystal”

“Okay” I was expecting something, much, much more. What am I supposed to do with it? This is supposed to mean something? I don’t get it. “What am I supposed to do?”

“I don’t know, you tell me”

“Oh great, this... this is just great” I turn the crystal in my hand hoping for something fantastic. All that waiting for a crystal ball that does nothing. I hurl the crystal ball in the lake and put my head to my hands. All that waiting... for a crystal wall.

“By jove, what’s that!” George exclaims. I look up to the lake. The lake has turned into a bright blue and starts to send off steam. It looks magnificent. It is beautiful. I peer over the edge and look at my reflection. Oh the happy waves, they make me smile so much. But what does this steam mean? This is the next thing I have to figure out.

The End
