Chapter 3

I woke up at noon. The alarm didn't wake me up today, so it must mean that today is a day off! Or that I am really late for work... I'll assume the former.

Luckily, today is one of those days where I wake up and Alex is still in bed next to me. Since he is an insomniac, there are not many days in which this happens. I ignore my aching morning bladder for a few minutes and cuddle up next to him. Half-tempted to fall back asleep. But I decided that that was probably a bad idea. I had a lot of work that needed to be done, and sleeping all day won't finish it for me.

I finally decided to get up, use the bathroom, and walk into the kitchen to make coffee. Despite what you may have heard, I am not really that much of a coffee drinker. But it wakes me up so well, and doesn't taste half bad with cream and sugar.

Alex is a coffee addict though. He sometimes drinks his coffee plain. No cream, no sugar, no problem. I have to give him Kudo's for accomplishing such a feat, I have tried numerous times and simply cannot drink coffee without something to make it not taste like horror (Don't let him know I said that though).

Walking into the living room, I turn on my computer. Well... I basically never turn it off, so I took it out of Sleep Mode. Much of the time I spend online I am either researching, or looking up random pictures on and Regretsy.... Well, no longer Regrety... RIP.

Most of what is listed on those sites and others like Tumblook are either mildly entertaining, or boring. Almost none if it is as funny as the creators thought the meme's were.

Scrolling through page after page of unwitty, borish, and sometimes even annoying memes, and you usually lose track of time. Two, three, five hours pass and you don't even know it. You're just bored, and sadly waste your time instead of doing something productive.

Thankfully, that did not happen today. I wrote a little more of a fantasy novel about Alchemy I am working on, and then walked to the kitchen, where I tried once more to not burn breakfast.

I took out the sausage, the cheese, the peppers, and the eggs. I love when my eggs have so many ingredients in them that they no longer taste like eggs ad taste more like Heaven.

A little bit of pepper and some salt to liven up the flavor a bit. In fact, it was the smell of Heaven and brewed coffee that lured Alex over to the kitchen.

“Smells good” he said, looking at my poor excuse for cooking. He was still in his PJ's, which I personally liked.

“Thanks” I said, smiling. We were not much along the lines of talkers, not unless we were talking about specific topics, then we could probably talk each other to sleep. Which, in Alex's case, he'd probably want me to do sometimes.

He poured himself a cup of coffee as I dished out the finally unburnt Heaven. Taking a fork out of the drawer, we both headed over to the couch, where we usually ate our meals. Watching a few more episodes of My Little Brony, because I was far behind, and it was a requirement.

We ate, laughed at certain parts, I liked this. Too bad he had to go to work later today. Me and him had different schedules. Although we both stayed up until very late at night. Rarely was there a day that we both had off. It must happen at most once a week. But that is the cost of rent. Money, and time. But as long as we were together, that's all that mattered.

We kissed goodbye before he headed to work. He worked at a shipping company. I envied him because of it. He did have to deal with the asinine customers all day long.

The End
