Knock, Knock, Knock.

          Knock, Knock, Knock.

Just three single sounds woke me from my slumber. Ignoring it, i buried myself under the covers, preserving the familiar warmth of my bed.

      Knock, Knock, Knock.

I groaned incoherently, grumbling curses under my breath. Although reluctantly, i prised open my eyes and turned to my small side-table where my digital clock was placed. 3 o'clock in the morning. Who on earth would be making so much noise at this hour? Ugh. Just go back to sleep. Six more hours until i have to get up properly. Just. Six. More. Hou-

     Knock, Knock, Knock.

My eyes shot open wide. No. It couldn't have been. For just a mere second ... that knock had sounded nearer. Mentally slapping myself, i curled up into ball. Maybe whoever is insane enough to be asking for anything at this time of night will go away. Several moments of bissful silence.

   Knock, Knock, Knock.

I sat bolt upright, my fingers gripping onto the sheets. That wasn't the deep knock of a wooden door; that was an echoing tap. Like on glass. I listened intently, my heart thumping against my ribcage.

   Knock. Knock. Knock.

My head turned slowly behind me, my mouth formed into a distinctive 'O' shape. Impossible. There, written in the condensation that had formed on my window, were words. Put there as if by a fingertip. Seven words.

I would duck if i were you.

I had no time to comprehend how it had gotten there and more importantly why it had come to be there before my ears picked up a deadly whizzing sound. I did the first thing that came to mind. I ducked to the ground.

A earth shattering crack, a frightened scream that i soon realised to be my own. Littering my floor were sparkling diamonds of glass. Right in the middle of my bed, where i had just been sitting was a red brick. I stood up warily and turned around. The message had dissappeared, along with most of my window.

The End
