It all started that day when I went to spy on the Warblers. I was totally lost on the stairs, and just grabbed the arm of the first person I saw. And it was him. The guy of my dreams. Luck was on my side that day.
"Excuse me? Can I ask you a question? I'm new here." I had asked, after a moment of being awestruck by the beautiful boy who stood in front of me.
"My name's Blaine." The black-haired, hazel eyed boy had answered.
"Kurt." I replied, taking the hand you offered. Such a gentleman. "Uh, so what exactly is going on?" I asked.
"The Warblers! Every now and then they throw an impromptu performance in the senior commons. Tends to shut the school down for a while." Blaine had replied with a grin.
"So.. The glee club here is kind of.. cool?" I questioned, baffled.
"The Warblers are like rock stars." He had said matter-of-fact-ly. "Come on. I know a shortcut!" And then he had grabbed my hand, like it was nothing, and led me through the school. I was blown off my feet. He was so... So.. charming.
"Ooh.. I stick out like a sore thumb.." I groaned as we entered the commons.
"Well, next time don't forget your jacket, new kid, you'll fit right in. Now if you'll excuse me." Blaine had said, smoothing the lapel of my coat and patting my arm. Then he had walked off, and much to my dismay, begun singing. Teenage dream, by Katy Perry. And all the while, staring, seemingly, at me. I felt myself falling hard for him. I didn't even know if he was gay or straight or what yet. But I didn't care. He was beautiful. Later, in the coffee shop, I felt my heart soar when he admitted, totally casual, that he was gay, to me, a guy he hardly knew. I felt as if I knew him already. Like we were destined to be together. Soul mates. I poured my heart out to him, and he listened. He supported me. He was amazing.
He had me at: "My name is Blaine."
