We waited for Stacey to open her eyes.
"Stacey," Grace said, shaking her.
She slowly open her eyes, letting her pupils undilate.
"They sent me to a Health Center. They wanted me to forget what I saw."
"Do you remember, now?"
"I do... I was walking to Mrs. Vanderbrook's office when I heard something... and I saw her and Mr. Parker doing it."
"WHAT?!?" Anne Marie shouted, "That bitch yells at me for being a ho?"
"Anyway," Stacey continued, "they saw me and... well, obviously told me 'it's not what you think'. I didn't say anything. I just left. And the next I knew, I had to go visit my family when a couple of guys just kinda "kidnapped" me and locked me in that health center."
"Wow, they went overboard," Grace said, "but I think... this be involved in the Julia thing. Maybe Mrs. Vanderbrook knows about it... and she only kept Mr. Parker around for... sex."
"That's could be true. But how would she know?"
"And what about Adam?" Stacey asked.
We knew this topic bothered her the most. The whole reason this case affected her the most. Adam DeSantis... her first boyfriend, her first kiss, etc. And Adam then broke up with her for Julia, who cheated on him with Mr. Parker. But, what about the person who recorded the sex tape? Did Adam know? And is that why he killed himself? Or so, most of us think. Julia was most-likely murdered, but Adam was kinda crazy and obssessive... was he suicidal too?
"Well, we have to figure it out," I said, "order take-out... China Gourmet, please. We're gonna have to do some research."
I threw the phone towards Anne Marie, who quickly dialed the number and ordered. We looked at he signatures in my yearbook.
Julia's: Haley! You're like my BFF and I want you know that I love you so much. We spent freshmen year together and had so much fun. Damn, girl, it's been a good life. I mean, I could literally die this summer knowing my life would end like this. Anyway, enough of that. I hope I get to see you in the summer and hopefully we'll be able to see each other again. Love, Julia :-)
I underlined the weird sentences. It bothered me now then ever that she was gone. And after feeling that plaque, it was time to play detective.
"Stacey," I said, "what about your date?"
"Oh, crap! I don't even know what ot wear!"
"You're still going?" Grace asked.
"It's a date with Jacob... the goddamn love of her life."
She blushed. She raided her clost, throwing unnecessary clothes onto her bed. She pulled out a short, I mean above finger-tip short, red dress that dipped log and would hug her boobs tightly.
"Sexy," I said, "you sure Jacob won't take advantage of you?"
I hope he didn't. I smack his ass silly if he did. She smiled and left the room. I looked for Adam's note.
Hey Haley. I don't really talk to you that much... but have a good summer. I know I won't. But, at least you can. =)
Yeah right. That was the summer I lost my virginity to Dexter. Stupid, stupid, Dexter. I sighed. A sudden chill entered the room when Stacey came back. I stripped the blanket off my bed and wrapped it around myself. I was freezing. Someone had opened the window and a huge breeze was coming in.
"Did you do that?" I asked Grace.
She shook her head. I glanced at everyone else. They all shook there head. A piece of paper flew in. Grace opened it and read the poem outloud.
I miss you my friend ..you are so dear.
Even though you are not near.
I carry you within my heart.
And I know that we will never part.
You're special to me ..that much is true.
Without you, I wouldnt know what to do.
I depend on you and you on me.
No truer friends could there ever be.
I wish we were together ..that would be such fun.
We would talk for hours and never be done.
One day we will meet ...It has to be so.
I would go anywhere for you ..no matter where I had to go.
You're more than my friend...you're my everything too.
And I know this much ....I will always love you.

Well, I must give credit, now, shouldn't I? Anyway, I got it from some crappy website. But, girls, it says a lot, doesn't it? You were not there for Julia when she needed you most.
"Is this a joke?" Anne Marie said.
"Well, shit," I said, closing the window.
The phone rang, breaking the silence. The food was here.
"I'll go get it," I said.
I went to the elevator and went to the first floor lobby. The guys were sitting there drinking soda and chewing Twizzlers.
"We were coming up in a few," Dan said, "but we just realized that there was vending a machine here and not on your floor."
I rolled my eyes, paying the delivery man and taking the food.
"Chinese?" Jacob asked, "Can I have some?"
"No," I said, "you have a date with Stacey, remember?"
"Oh, crap. How do I look?"
He was dressed in a a loose navy v-neck and jeans. He looked hot.
"She's dressing up," I said.
"But, I'm taking her to a movie or something. Not some fancy dinner. I'm not rich."
"Well, she won't like that date... take her to that bistro near the park. It's not that expensive, but it's mad hot," Frankie said.
He looked at me, confused. He wanted to know why Jacob was taking Stacey out.
"Jacob and Stacey are going out so Jacob come upstairs. And the rest of you can go back to your dorms," I said.
They groaned. I gave Frankie a fortune cookie knowing he loved them. He smiled, leaving with Griffin and Dan.
"You need help?" he asked.
"Yes," I said, giving him 2 of the heavy bags of the 3.
"You seem... upset? Why?"
"I'm just tired."
"Are you sure you're ok?"
"Yeah," I said, "I'm sure."
I yawned and I kissed his cheek.
"Have fun with Stacey..."
I opened the door. And Stacey was ready. It was exactly 6:45.
"Wow," he said, staring at her.
She smiled. I admit she looked beautiful, but I wanted to rip that dress of hers. But, I loved her. And that just sucked dick.
"I'll have her back here at 12," he said, "see you ladies."
I shot him a fake grin. And Stacey blushed when he linked his arm through hers. He grinned back. And they left.
"Back to work," I said, opening the noodles.
"It's time to use the power of Facebook," Anne Marie said.
