In the plainsMature

He appeared in the middle of the plains still holding the maid.

"Are you alright?" Said the worried Kain.

"Yes master." replied the maid in his mind.

"You don't have to call me that."

"Huh?" She looked up at him.

"You don't have to call me that. I am your master but I choose not to be. I dont like to have slaves so I choose not to have any. I choose to disband them all, and make as many friends as I can. Treat me however you like. Treat me like you treat everyone else. Don't treat me loyal as a king because of my rank. I am like everyone else."

Kain did not trouble to ask her why she is always mind speaking to him, and she responded that she was deaf and that she could only hear his thoughts. He was quite amused. Amused that someone could understand the pain he goes through each day he immortally lives.

He hugged her as tight as he could which caused a crater to form underneath the two. She understood his pain and she experienced his pain as well, for she killed her mother and father because of demon possession.

"My beloved comrade." He whispered in her ear.

Tears fell from her eyes of the maid as she responded to him with a whisper of her voice.

Since they had rough lives that will forever live, they will call each other sister and brother.

"What is your name?" He asked her releasing the hug.

"My Katlyn."

Before she finished her sentence a beam of light shot through her head causing her mind to... die as well as her. Seeing that before his eyes made Kain angrily sad with tears quickly rushing down her face trying to wake her up.

"Katlyn!!! KATLYN!!!!" He cried shaking her.

The End
