I'm Ethan. If you read the summary you know pretty much everything there is to know about me. I'm a boy. I have a dog. So if that's everything there is to know why am I writing this?

Because there actually is more to know, I just don't know it yet. Well the "me" before this all happened doesn't know yet. Yes that's right. Some of it has happened already. But don't worry I'll tell you all of it. I actually don't know all of it myself so this will be a learning experience for the both of us.

Yeah I'm sorry you have to put up with me too, but once you get to know me... there isn't anything else to know at that point, so you can stop getting to know me. So bear with me until that point. If you want to go away you can but hear me out. This'll be cool, I promise.

This whole story started with a boy. A single boy. Yes me, but for the sake of the story and a cool ending sentence it started with a boy.
