Why don't we all appreciate the small things in life? If we looked past our troubles to see the beauty in everything, we would be a much happier people in general. Life could be more pleasant and bearable. I once thought that life was pretty boring and I didn't know what to do when it got me down. But something changed. It's as if each small thing has its own sort of beauty. A blade of grass, the wordless exchange of glances, even a simple hug...it's all seemingly perfect in some way, like God created everything to appear wonderful. We have our bad days, and sure- it's okay to cry. That's what makes us human and helps us to distinguish the bad days from the good, but it can all get just a little bit brighter if we simply look for that beauty everywhere we go.
