In Class
She walks to her first class,
And sits like she is in mass,
Someone sits in front of her
She tries to sit a little cooler,
For it was the boy she secretly liked,
She remembered how they would play around as they biked,
He flashed his gorgeous, gentle smile her way
Then opened his mouth to say,
“What book are you reading?”
Then she handed him her copy of “Silverwing”,
The book fell out of her butter fingers,
He glanced at her for a split second like those rock star singers
Crash!
At the same time they went down to get it,
They both looked at each other just for a bit,
She turned away red as a cherry,
He turned away looking like a strawberry,
The bell rings
And in comes Mr. Chings,
He turns around,
She put on a frown,
Then the teacher says to work with a partner,
He turns around probably looking for someone smarter,
Then he looks her way,
And cracks his mouth open to say,
“Do you want to go with me?”
“Yes” she says gleefully
