I walked into the school building alone. Mickey called if I needed him, but I didn't. I had to face him eventually. He was standing against his locker staring at me.
"What?" I asked, angrily. He smiled.
"Nothing. Just you look beautiful this morning."
"Shut up, you pervert."
"Ouch, baby, that hurts."
"I never knew you were such a jerk."
"Are you sure about that? You know you wanted me."
"I did not!"
"Right, right. Whatever."
"Look, Adam, I don't want to have anything to do with you. Just leave me alone."
"Don't call me sweetheart!"
"Alright, geesh. Anyway, you know Mickey's girlfriend, Amber?"
"Well, she asked me for my number."
"She did not. Even she has the right mind not to."
"Well, apparently not. She's coming over to my house tonight."
Ah, crap. She was cheating on Mickey. That would break his heart. I couldn't tell him. I wouldn't tell him.
"So you like her, now?"
"Sure. She pretty, like you, but she's a bit slow and wears showy clothes. You don't."
"So that's what you look for in a girl. If she's pretty and wears "attractive" clothes. Not her personality or what kind of person she is."
"Well that's how your friend Mickey does. Sometimes... that's why Amber is his girlfriend. Anyway, I gotta get to lit. See you in math."
I middle-fingered him and he laughed.
Mickey came to school with Amber. I wanted to kill her. He was so happy with her and if he found it she was going over Adam the Perv's house, it would kill him.
