Chapter Seven

The drop of a coin was heard.  Clarity stopped reading and placed the book back on the shelf nervously.

Time Turner was down on both knees, clutching an axe in his right hand.  He stared at her with his piercing bloodshot red eyes.  He then spoke.

"You will remember me, won't you?" with a tear sliding down his pale cheek.

Clarity froze in the same spot she was standing.  She couldn't run.  She couldn't leave him.  So she waited and replied "Yes."

The Time Turner took off his top hat and handed it to her, "close your eyes" he said.

She did so and felt a fat tear rolling down her rosy cheek which will never be rosy again.

Precisely a second later, the sound of an axe chopping wood was heard.  Clarity opened her eyes to witness the Time Turner lying on the ground with an axe buried in his head with thick blood streaming out.  His eyes were open and teary.

Unsatisfied with the game, she rushed out of my house screaming, just like the blood rushing out of my skull.  I'm soaring high but i lay still....she was right.  She prefers to hide.
