Charpter 4

The first couple of weeks flew by. Rosie and the others made sure I knew what I was doing, and at the same time, let other people know who I was. The plan has started to form, and a date had been set for the break in. October the 31st. When everyone else would be at the Halloween feast, we would be in their common room. I didn’t know what they wanted to get from the trip, and I wasn’t going to ask. Rosie was someone you didn’t mess with.
The date got nearer and nearer, and I was getting distracted from lessons. I stopped doing homework, and even turning up. After Herbology one afternoon, Professor Sprout called me back.

‘Guinevere, I know that I am not your head of year, but I can see something is bothering you. Tell me.’ She urges.
I shake my head. ‘There’s nothing wrong, Professor. Honest.’
She smiled. ‘If I had a gallon for every student that said that, I would be rich.’ She patted my arm. ‘It’s ok if you don’t want to talk, but let me give you this warning. Not every person in this school has your interests at heart. Be careful who you befriend. Go on.’ She said, pushing me out the door.

For the rest of the day, her words played in my mind. What did she mean? Rosie was looking after me. But I had to get it out of my mind. Tonight was the start of the plan. Rosie had made some Polyjuice Potion and I was the one who would use it. I would wait outside the Gryffindor common room, and wait for people to go in. Then we would have the password.
It didn’t take long. Once we had taken some hair form a small Hufflepuff, I waited. A 5th year went walking up, as the fat lady said ‘Password?’

‘Sanctuary’ the portrait swung open. I left.

The End
