Thrown into Hades

Hell was a machination,
a creation manifested in men.
Build to subjugate and quell,
now present in towers and spires.

Hell was a god before God,
it's wrath feared more then His.
A sentinel sly and cruel
that still peers over our shoulders.

Hell was a fabrication,
an ethereal echo of the world,
removing our guilts and evils.
We've fooled ourselves.

Author Guidance for This Story

ElzuWolfe Feel free to add to my anti-utopic conjecture. Mine is the ruination of the ideal that perfection can be found, it is the thought that perfection is just a solitary moment, and that in itself contradicts its own meaning - perfection would last longer than that, were it perfection.
