Chapter 2.7 Tricky GuardsMature

Lilac thought that her job was done, now that the guards had arrived to catch her savers and take them away to be interrogated. Of course, it was far from it.

“Guards?” Carl perked up, climbing off of Tristan. The shadow of a large man with a gun appeared at the doorway, reminding Lilac too much of the shooting in school. Carl squinted at the man.

“What do you think you’re going to do with that?” Carl looked at the man with a smirk on his face. He raised his hand and muttered something. Immediately, a jet of fire shot out of his hand and slammed into the man. The man flew back with a groan, knocking down the other men behind him. Tristan walked over and grabbed Lilac.

“You’re just have to follow us. Don’t get lost, or else they’ll kill you.” He whispered.

“What are you guys waiting for? Get out of the room!” Carl was waving at them at the doorway. They rushed out of the place and ran down the hallway. The alarm button was already pulled and guards were rushing out to chase after them.

“Do they think they can get hold of us with those puny things?” The boys both grinned, their eyes sparkling with mischief. They continued rushing forward, not worrying about the man that blocked the hallway. Seconds later, an explosion lit the hallway and sent the guards flying, also leaving a large hole in the wall.

“Out now!” Tristan pulled Lilac out the hole while Carl stayed back to get rid of other guards. He drew out a pair of daggers that glistened even in the bare amount of light there was. There was a grin on his face.

“You guys are screwed.” Then he lunged.

Carl darted throughout the hallway, climbing between legs, dart over bodies stabbing guards like it was a game of tag. A really easily game of tag. They tried using their guns, but at such a close range, it was hard to aim properly and they ended up killing themselves instead. Clear laughter rang out through the hallways at Carl tortured the guards. None of them were actually killed, and more just knocked unconscious. Lilac would have to ask why they didn’t kill the guards later. But as for now, she completely forgot about the plan and watched in awe as Carl twirled through the hallway, knocking every guard on the ground. He finally bursted out of the place, with sweat trickling down his forehead.

“Good exercise there.” He said obviously in a good mood.

“Next time my turn.” Tristan sounded slightly jealous.

“Alright, no time to loose, gotta get away before reinforcements come.” Carl pushed them away, but stopped immediately when they realized that a whole army of guards along with a steaming Goffer was standing right in front of them.

“Shit.” Tristan whispered. “I knew there had to be more.”
