I grinned at Nightshade. Bossing Colt around for a whole week? I wouldn't know what to do with him!
The alchohol had worn off, mostly, but it still made wild ideas go through my head. I quickly pulled my hand away from Colt's. My mind was way over thinking things.
"Now, Song, why don't you go back to bed?" Night asked me. I shook my head.
"Don't wanna. What food we got?" I asked. I opened the fridge and freezer, and thanked Ripper with a whisper, before taking out a pummel of strawberries, a tub of vanilla icecream, and a bottle of icy cold water. I took these, and went to the living room, along with a spoon. I sat, watching television, when Night came to check on me.
"You can kill my lot." She said. I raised my eyebrows at her, and she smiled. "Hey, if Colt wins he'll gloat, and I'll have to put up with your sulking. Even if he does win, he ain't gonna do much to ya, I bet. You, on the other hand..." She giggled darkly.
"Honestly, Night, you scare me sometimes. I'm glad we're on the same side." I laughed, putting another spoonful of icecream into my mouth. Night's face became serious again.
"Something's wrong. What is it?" She said. I scowled. Damn her. Damn Nightshade. She always knew.
"I just...if I told Colt that I kinda...you know, a little bit, then he might not like me anymore. I mean...well...I don't know." I gave up, and started again. Nightshade smiled wistfully.
"I know exactly what you mean. And don't worry."
"But I do worry! I killed my first boyfriend!" I almost shouted.
"You did what?" Piper and Colt were looking round the doorway at us. I gave a little growl, and bit into a strawberry, covered in icecream.
