Reza - Autumn

The bell goes for break. I poke Roxanna.

"Hey. I'm going for a fly. Coming?" I say so only she can hear me.

"Uh... okay," she says. "Hang on. Won't we be seen?"

"Nope. I'll get air to hide us both from view."

"Okay."

We walk down the corridor and out of the building.

"Air, hide us from human sight," I say. I don't need to say it, but then again, why shouldn't I?

I see the heat haze shimmer spring up around me and Rox.

"Ready?" I ask her. She nods.

"On three. One, two, three!"

"Wakes wings!" we say together.

A pair of night coloured wings explode from Rox's back and my own sunset feathers burst into existance.

"Lets go!" I say. We kick off and fly up, high above the ground, so high we can see the school, the area, the city.

"This is insane!" Rox yells. I can hear the joy in her words and I know exactly how she feels. Flying feels so natural, so exilarating, you can't help but be excited.

"I know! But it's brilliant! Lets dive!" I say.

We fold our wings into our backs and plummet headfirst back to earth, straightening out wings at the last possible second, like a parachute they stop us from going splut.

I see a girl with brown hair and light green eyes staring at us wide eyed, like we're crazy.

"I thought you got air to make us invisible to humans," hisses Rox.

"I did, but I don't think she's human," I reply.

"You mean- Autumn? You think she's Autumn?" she says. Then to the girl, "Hi. I'm Roxanna, the Winter angel. This is my BFF, Reza, who's Summer. Are you the Autumn angel?"

The End
