Jacky Greystone is a typical teenage boy growing up on a council estate in the north-east of England. Everyone knows the rules and they stick to them, mostly. There are some nut-cases, but everyone steers clear of them. But when the miners start going on strike Jacky starts getting out of control. Before he knows it he is stuck in a dark world of drugs, violence and 80's underclass Britain. Can he do anything to get his life back on track?
I'm sorry Da, for the grief I caused you,
Sorry Mam, for not understanding,
Sorry Geordie, for getting your good name dragged into the mud,
But most of all
For the kids I led astray.
