Going Home

As I travel down this road alone

I feel I know this road as my own

No lights ahead

No lights behind

I’m all alone

This road’s all mine

The radio’s up

The windows down

There’s no one here

For miles around

And as the wind

Blows through my hair

I drive alone

To a home that’s bare

It’s down the road

And just in sight

It’s the place I’ll sleep

Another lonely night

It’s a place I know

I call it my home

It’s the place I spend

Most nights alone

I’m going home

The End
