You ever wonder how any other man can want you if your father didn’t?

After many years of being away at school, I still wonder what the answer to my question is. And some days I want to believe that the man, that wants you, will see something that your father didn’t; couldn’t. But lately I feel that they see the same thing that he did and leave just as quickly. They may look back every once in a while, only when there is nothing better but for the most part they never even glance over their shoulder. I can’t say that I know the answer to this question, but I wish I did because I fear that I will live like my grandmother; alone.
