In a world that is filled with diversity, three civilizations have prevailed above all else. However, even in this so-called 'perfect' balance, isolation has taken its toll amongst the nations. Leaving them to question not only their own stability, but also their existence as a whole. The three empires of the world Gandara have chosen separation above all other morals they had been taught to idolize by their ancestors.
In a world that is filled with diversity, three civilizations have prevailed above all else. However, even in this so-called ‘perfect’ balance, isolation has taken its toll amongst the nations. Leaving them to question not only their own stability, but also their existence as a whole. The three empires of the world Gandara have chosen separation above all other morals they had been taught to idolize by their ancestors. Even still, the constant battle between life and death never ceases to rise above. Instead of man joining together as one, as intended, they have chosen to rise against one another, in a never-ending battle for dominance.
The first and most religious of the three empires is known as the Kingdom of the Depths. Located within the oceans of Gandara, this kingdom is inhabited by merpeople who rule with an iron trident. They are said to worship a mythological sea creature named Kraben, who feasts on those who dare to sail across their waters. This empire is governed by Cetus, Queen of Merpeople and holder to the Crown of Victory. Her family has governed this empire for decades, none challenging their power. The Kingdom of Depths idolizes: intelligence, obedience and compliance.
The second and most deceiving of the three empires, is known as the Kingdom of Desolation. Located on the first of two landmasses of Gandara, this kingdom has abused their environment to the point of decay. Rumors pass among nobles of how the land once resembled its beautiful counterpart the Halcyon Kingdom. Inhabitants here have been deteriorating for decades on end, with nothing but the memories of their past selves. Many try to cling to the faint resemblance of their former images, by reanimating their bodies with various sections of other citizens within the kingdom. Under Allfather, the current ruler, this empire has been stricken with: thievery, rape and murder. A once graceful society bound by laws has turned into a wasteland of anguish.
The third and most righteous of the three empires, is the Halcyon Kingdom. Located on second landmass of Gandara, the Halcyon Kingdom strives for perfection, treating all who inhabit the society with honor and respect. Residents live in luxury surrounded by: beautiful architecture, lush scenery and impeccable security. Ubiquitous traits of the people in this empire are commonly described as; blonde hair, pale skin, blue eyes and above average height (6’1). This empire is ruled by Xenthus, the holder of the Halcyon Throne, whose family was voted into power twelve decades prior to the separation of the lands by the Grand Elders. Halcyons believe in: pacifism, honesty and good ethics.
Despite this complex system of life operating alone, interaction between the three empires is keen to maintain order. Each empire alone is a force to be reckoned with, all three holding its own political and warfare advantages. Conflict has taken a detrimental toll on each empire, almost to the point of total destruction. Creating a treaty now seems to be the only remaining way to reserve life amongst them, with The Kingdom of the Depths being too stubborn and The Kingdom of Desolation’s abundance of violence, it appears the Halcyon Kingdom is the only one strong enough to achieve peace amongst all three.
A yawn escaped from the tired, weary king. It had been a long day at the palace, yet the day hadn’t even ended. The king of Halcyon, Xenthus, sat at his throne, elbow at the armrest, resting tousled blonde curls against the cushioning of the throne, reading a scroll of the meeting that was to be held. Preparations were being made for the two upcoming special guests. The king of the Underworld, Allfather and The Queen of the Depths, Cetus, were coming to discuss a treaty concerning alliances.
The sound of leather heels echoed among the eerie marble flooring of the throne room. The Viceroy of Halcyon, Nyx and brother to the king, stepped forth into the throne room, presenting himself in front of his noble sibling. Nyx draped a traditional greeting arm across his polyester temple robes, these same robes lacked vivid colors that most other nobles were dressed with.
