My heavy eyelids somehow found a way to open. I thought I was becoming blind but I realized that if I was blind then I would be seeing total blackness. Instead I stared up at the velvety violet sky. If I squinted tight enough, then I would have seen the faint specks of light scattered across the sky. It has to be midnight I guess, or maybe at least up to 2 A.M. judging from the shade of color the sky was draped with.
Movements and rustling of bushes caught my attention from the left side. I could make out a silhouette of a grown man. He didn't have a very large build but enough to make him a more-than-average guy.
"If it's a girl you're looking to prey on then there's more on the next block. They all take turns with their shift since they all came to work as prostitutes for the business, if you know what I mean. You know what I mean?" my speech slurred even after I slept throughout my hangout.
I felt like I was going to vomit all of a sudden. I would have guessed that it was because I still haven't gotten over my hangover but something about the fact that the mysterious man wasn't there anymore made me second guess.
