¿Cómo se dice...?

"Hold on a minute," Gwen said, throwing out her hand for emphasis about a block from the defunct Safe.  Everyone screeched to a halt, Dark with some difficulty.  "You guys had a car, right?"

"Yeah, we parked it down the way," Kai answered.  "Why, you thinking we should change cars?"

"You read my mind.  They could've slipped a tracker onto the thing without you even knowing."

"How are we going to manage to get a new car?" Robyn quipped.  "We don't know anyone out here who could help us out."

"Au contrair, mi amiga ciega," replied Gwen

"You have a contact?"

"I do indeed."  She pulled out an ancient TracFone.  "This, my friends, is our direct connection to some new transportation."  Before anyone could object she furiously began to dial.  Their end of the conversation sounded something like this:

"Oije, ¿Enrique?  Es mí. Supongo estás bien hatheh te vi, ¿no?  Bueno, escucha: nethesito manera de transporte... yo sé que no ahmos ahbla'o... corta la miécoles, podemos ahblar luego.  lo siento, no sé si eres consthientes de eso, pero estamos en un sitio ciñido... sí, 'estamos,' estoy con mi gente.... Sí, sí, sabemos nuestro calidad, a'ora ¡ven acá, por favor!"  She clicked off the phone and turned to face her utterly baffled compatriots.  "What?"

"Now I'm no Spaniard," Dark began, "but I have no idea what you just said."

Gwen shrugged.  "Anything of worth that was said there was that my bud Enrique's going to bring transportation to a prespecified location."

"Speaking of locations, what about the phone?" Kai asked nervously.

Without any ado Gwen dropped it on the pavement, then brought her heel down on it with great force.  "What phone?" she questioned, grinning innocently and brushing the broken plastic into the alley.  "C'mon, with Gimpy here we only have so much time t'get t'where we need t'get to."

"Is she always like that?" Kai muttered to Dark and Robyn, jerking his head toward Gwen's back.  He rolled his eyes in reply.

Robyn sighed, "Man, you ain't seen nothin' yet."

"I was afraid of that."

Author guidance for This story

Asheyna This Author's Guidance is updated continuously... please take the time to read it as there is VITAL information there. Who is who, who is where, that sort of thing.

********BEFORE POSTING*********
**READ THE PREVIOUS CHAPTERS**

This helps you get a feel for the story. I know there's a lot, but if you don't you're going to miss stuff and we will loose the flow of the story. Until now we've done a good job and there haven't been too many glaring errors and they've generally been fixed quickly.

The basic premise is similar, creative/artistic minds are the outcasts of society. They're shunned, even hunted by the rest. And we, a literary society known as the Protagonizers, have formed a resistance movement.

Come as you, come as your protag-self, and let's stick it to the man!

********SOME SUGGESTIONS********
---> Mark all the posts relevant to your particular storyline as you go along.
IE: Asheyna and Afroferret are travelling together, I've (Asheyna) marked all posts written by us so I can find them easily and refer to them when writing.
---> If you're going to write and include other characters in your chapter there's two great options:
* Leave the ending open, allow them to respond to what you've introduced
* Confer with them before committing them to a course of action
* Neither of these are necessary, just something to consider when writing as you may be unaware of an ongoing plot-line that is developing behind the scenes between other authors
---> Last but not least, aim for continuity, whether it's character personality or events in the story.

Further Guidance:
The Protagonists are a non-violent group. They stand for creativity and free expression. While they have no clear set "mission" they are attempting to remind people what it used to be like. Showing people beauty in art, literature and music.

After their main meeting place, The Safe, was compromised by Spockeh he was instructed to blow it up (taking a few LitPol with it). A new building is now needed for the Safe, as well as a method to alert other Protagonists as to it's location.
