Sometime in 2010,
I know she's coming, I can feel her presence slowly approaching me. I don't know what to do. I need to finish this mission I was sent to do centuries ago. Maybe then the two of us can go our own separate ways. Maybe then she can stay alive.
Gregory flung the door open, he was getting sick of this repetition. Why did they damn him here? Wasn't it bad enough that he had fallen in love with the mission? That he failed, over and over again? That he watched her die? Wasn't it bad enough that he had to relive all of this?
Right now was the problem. Where would she appear? Where would she die? He had been here to see her get shot in the Civil War, he had seen her get beat to death in World War II. What other pain must they put him through? And why was it always the same meetings? This time, it'll be different, he'll leave her alone. For the rest of eternity.
Watch her fall in love with someone else, marry them, have children. And eventually he will become nothing more than a mere memory. No matter how much it pains him to see that, it will be better than the consequences seen ahead.
He crossed his arms and leaned against the door, getting ready to ignore her. A brush off will be good. Then he sighed, in total defeat. How could he do that? Maybe if he just stayed away from her, or just disappeared from the face of the Earth, then she might have a chance to live her whole lifetime this time.
Gregory sighed. He stood himself perfectly straight, turned his whole body on his heel and started to walk away.
"That's Gregory." a voice introduced. "Gregory. Why don't you introduce yourself formally to our new student, it's... Haily right?"
A girl chuckled. The same chuckle. "No. It's Hailey."
Gregory cracked a smile, but didn't turn around. "No. I don't think I will." he turned his smile back into a frown. Then he turned around and left.
"Don't mind about him." the voice muttered. Then he raised his voice. "Gregory's just a natural jackass!"
He had to smash his hands into his pockets to keep himself from turning around and punching that guy's face in. No matter what he tried to do, he still felt his hands become into fists. If only you knew. He thought sadly, still walking away.
Gregory could feel her eyes bore into his back. He walked behind a tree, and stayed there until the two left. "Have a nice life." he muttered.
A small dog padded towards him. "I know. I have to confront her soon." he said, petting the small dog.
September 1st, 2010
I was nervous coming this new school today. Which was odd, I had never felt as nervous as I did today. Not when I went to kindergarten, or when I graduated high school. Never. I saw this boy, he didn't seem to want to introduce himself. But as he left, I had wanted to be next to him.
Hailey walked around campus by herself. Sure Zack was sweet and all, but she just wanted her space. But what was with that one guy... Gregory? She didn't do anything wrong. Heck he wouldn't even look at her to be a total jack. Sure maybe she would've liked a more nicer approach.
She sighed. The school year started. She was just a week behind. But other than that, nothing. She wasn't behind on any big projects, she wasn't a total loner. But if that one guy... Gregory, knew her, hated, wait no. Loathed her, then there must be something that he knew that she didn't then she wanted to know.
"Do you know where Gregory is?" she asked some random person.
"Gregory, no. If you're new, then you'll know to stay away from him. Dude's a natural loner, doesn't talk to much people. And he scares the crap out of everyone."
Hailey sighed. She thanked the person and kept on walking. I couldn't even see his face. So no clue what he looks like. She thought. The curfew bell rang. She groaned lightly and walked back into the dorms.
She got dressed and flung herself onto her bed. She threw her mp3 on and started to listen to Going Under by Evanescence. She shut her eyes and fell asleep.
