Alice pirouetted into the common room where Draco, Crabbe and Goyle all waited.
"So, how'd it go?" asked Draco.
"How did what go?" replied Alice, her voice was soft and dream-like.
"When you talked to Snape?" asked Crabbe.
"Oh, it went wonderfully . . . " She giggled. Draco had noticed that her voice was at least three octaves higher.
"So . . . " added Draco. Alice looked at him with her magnificently doe-like eyes. "What did he say?"
"Wonderful things . . . " She gazed off into space.
"Did he slip you a love potion?" asked Goyle.
"No," Alice chuckled. "No, he wouldn't do that . . . "
"So what did he do then?" asked Draco hesitantly.
"He proposed!!!!!!!" she squealed. This took a few moments to register in Draco's mind. "We're getting married!"
"What?!" said all three of them at the same time. Alice raised her left hand as proof. There they saw the little silver ring with the blue sapphire on her ring finger.
"I think it's sweet," said a voice nearly as high pitched as Alice's had been when she squealed.
"Oh, hi Pansy!" said Alice with delight. Draco looked between them in confusion.
"But-but you two hate eachother!" he accused.
"Yes, but I'm just too happy right now. I'm so full of love that I can't possibly hate anyone -- at least not at the moment, anyway," said Alice.
Draco looked at Pansy, hoping for her to side with him that they should hate eachother. But of course she didn't and Draco shrunk a little when she said "Yes, and I'm just so excited that one of my friends is getting married!!!!!! Can I be a bridesmaid?"
"Of course!!!!" squealed Alice.
Alice couldn't sleep at all that night, she was too happy to rest.
