Alice and Draco were becoming increasingly distant from eachother, but having more and more sex. Draco was laying on the couch in the common room with Alice snogging him. As she started to unbutton his shirt, he pushed away.
"Alice, we need to talk," he said.
"Don't speak, can't it wait for another time?"
"It. Can't," he said firmly. "This is important, Alice."
She reluctantly got up and moved to the other end of the couch. Draco sat up and faced her.
"What is it?" asked Alice.
"It's just, why don't we ever talk anymore?"
"We're talikng now," she said irritably. She absently twirled a strand of her hair, staring into space. Draco rolled his eyes.
"I meant like we used to. We used to talk all the time and now it seems like all we're doing is having sex."
"Oh come off it," she groaned. "Just two weeks ago you were complaining because you didn't think we were having enough sex." She picked up her wand and twirled it around in the air.
"Well, I wouldn't mind having this much sex if you'd ever actually talk to me!"
"I'm talking to you now, aren't I?" she hissed. "What's your problem Draco?"
"It's just . . . it feels like you don't really love me. Like you just need someone to be attatched to. I'm sorry, Alice . . . but I can't be your seccond choice. I'm breaking up with you."
"Seccond choice," muttered Alice, more to herself than to Draco. Then she loooked up at him. "I understand."
"Yeah," she said. "That's why I broke up with Severus. I need to talk to him, actually."
