First in the Series of dramatic stories inspired by music

I was suddenyl inspired to write something sad, dramatic, and with rain and whilst listening to a dramatic and beautiful song. I suddenly needed to write this. Its from the point of view of a man who has been hurt, injured somehow, and thinks he is dying, and is lying in a forest at night with his lover, a woman, crying as she holds his head on her lap. Im so visual that its hard for me to explain what I was imagining, but I guess this is a description of a scene I will ultimately drawn at some

music: Listen to the Rain - Evanescence

Listen..Please listen.

Just listen...

Can you hear it? Listen...Listen closely...

My heart, beating, pounding furiously against my chest, the sound of my heart breaking as I lie here in the rain. The rain bouncing off the ground around us, shattering the air, flooding the earth.

Dont cry. Its ok. Dont worry about me. Its hard. I know. It hurts. It hurts...

It hurts more knowing I wont see you. I can feel myself leaving, I'm going. You're holding me, you're holding me tightly, and I can see you crying, can hear you sobbing. Its ok. Its ok, please dont cry.

Every sob you omit is like a further stab in my fragile heart.

Its hard to say goodbye when there is blood in my mouth and I cant move properly, I dont even have enough strengh to move my head up. But you know. You know. You dont need me to say.

Goodbye. I ....I.....

I.....

I love you.

The End
