Lockwood’s grip tightens as he attempts to shield Nova as much as he can, looking around at the fourteen warriors who seemingly appeared out of nowhere. His green eyes stick on the man with the broad sword to his neck, its material is of a silver Ren has never seen before and the blade is red like the metal has encased the sun.
The man has vivid red hair, like a mane around his head, with a pair of watchful wise orange eyes. Standing tall, the man confidently holds the sword, pushing it slowly closer to Ren’s neck. Next to him is a thin woman with long blue hair which flows down to her waist, holding a throwing knife with the same strange metal but encased with the blue of the oceans instead of the sun in her hand, a greater selection of blades are hanging on her belt. She wears different shades of thin blue robes which lightly hug her body, her skin is nearly as pale as Nova’s.
Two similar teenagers, one boy and girl, stand on the other side of the, holding each other’s hand as well as a fierce looking war hammer that looks like it should be far too heavy for them. The thing that catches Ren’s eye the most is their eyes; the right is a misty grey whilst the left is a deep blue.
A little girl with wide eyes and bronze curly locks hides behind a tall black man. His muscles are bulging out of his shirt, his dark green eyes glare as he has a protective arm around the girl who holds a whip which is sharper than any knife.
A tall man with long blonde hair and a beautiful bow and arrow watches quietly.
Ren squints at all fourteen of them, trying to figure out what his best move would be whilst Nova smiles lazily, her eyes watching Ren in amusement.
“You should really let go now or you will get hurt.” A woman dressed in black with a dark blue mask covering her mouth, her piercing blue eyes look into his soul as she twirls sharp needles with various poisons in her hands.
They start to move in closer to Nova and Ren, their gazes harsh and cold. Ren looks down at Nova who smiles, his eyebrows slightly knit together in confusion at how calm she seems around these strangers with various weapons and malice in their eyes.
“That’s enough. Ren isn’t hurting me and he is just going to let go of me now; right?” At Nova’s words, some of the weapons get lowered. Nova smiles around at them and then turns to Ren, an expected look in her eyes and still that lazy smile. Slowly, Ren lets go, his hand resting on his sword. The man with the red mane still holds his sword to Ren’s throat.
“Leonardo, put your sword down. This is Ren, son of Villiat of the Lunar Village. He won’t hurt me.” To Ren’s surprise, Leonardo slowly removes the blade from his neck and the others hesitantly follow suit. “I thought I told you that I could handle this myself and that you should all stay up there and look after the others.” Nova tilts her head, her dark eyes looking around at the others before resting on Leonardo and the blue haired female.
