I begin ran. Faster, and Faster per micro second. I need to help this child. Even it was midget..

I stopped that thought as soon as I saw this golden haired child. She had long lashes, from I could tell, and big violet eyes. I begin to move faster.

When I reached the rock where she was, I gasped. Not only was she a child, but she was not much older than three. I jumped off the rock, and stood beside her.

“Hello,” I said gently. “I’m Ashie, but call me Ash. What’s your name?” I asked.

“I don’t know.” she said. I knelt down, and fixed a golden lock of hair that was coving this little girls face. I looked at the child closely, I could tell she was not born around here. The way she looked gave her a look that she was noble. But the dress she wore did not.

“Do you know where Mamma is?” I asked sweetly. “Or Da?”

“There with Jesus.” she said. She looked at my bare feet.

“Who are you with? You Aintín?” I asked.

“I’m with Anna.” she said. I remembered back to the beach, Cadon and where the only people for miles.

“Ok, well do you want me to take you back to the beach?” I said. Even if she said no, I was taking her.

She nodded.

“Ok, well I’m going to carry you. Is that ok?
“Yes.” I picked up this child and ran. She only weighed thirty pounds, nothing compared to the bags of flour that I normally carry.

It took me a good ten minutes to get to the front of the cave. When we reached the end, I almost flew out. I needed to study the child in better light.

When Cadon say us, he ran as fast as he could.

“What’s going on?” he asked. He dropped the pillow he was holding, and took the child out of my arms.

“She was in the back of the cave, she doesn’t have any parents, says she’s here with someone name ‘Ida’, oh and she doesn’t know her name.” I said.

“What do you want to do with her?” her asked. I shrugged, I kinda wanted to keep her with me. I had grown attached to her in the twenty minutes I had with her.

“Daireann.” he said.

“ Pardon?” I asked.

“Daireann. That’s what we’re calling her. Like the legend with Finn and how she fell in love with him. She was said to be beautiful, this how I pictured her.” I nodded, and set Dariann on the sand.

“This is Cadon, my friend. He is fourteen, just like me.” I said. “Can you say Cadon?”

“Cadon” she said. I nodded.

“Good, now I’m going to take you over to a logon, and wash you up and make you pretty. Lets go grab some soap and towels. And, on of Cadon shirts for you to were.” She nodded, and raced me to the wagon.

The End
