Farewell Avenue

Today
Oh Today
I looked up in the sky and I happened to notice the sun,
was gone.
Out of sight, out of mind, out of reach,
The sun was gone.
Today
Oh Today
The air was as dry as a bone, and cold as my heart,
was still
Out of breath, out of blood, out of will,
To hold on today.

Ohhh Today
The poison in the air
Poison in the air
Poison fills the air with deadly chemicals
Tonight
Im afraid to walk outside,
At risk of being eaten alive
By fumes arising
All around me Tonight

Tonight
Oh Tonight
I began to lie down on my back and look up at the stars,
Instead,
What I saw was the black of the clouds,
Beginning to rain,
Acid rain,
Onto my face.
Tonight
Oh Tonight
Arrows and Falling Hearts slowly lead the way,
For Me,
For dancing constellations of my past have come to cease
For Me

(Deep Guitar Solo that ends with an abrupt stop)

Ohhh Today
The poison in the air
Poison in the air
Poison fills the air with deadly chemicals
Tonight
Im afraid to walk outside,
At risk of being eaten alive
By fumes arising
Arising all around me Tonight
Im afraid to walk outside,
At risk of being eaten alive
By fumes arising
All around me Tonight

(Violin solo that ends on a held low note)

Today
Oh Tonight
I've fallen to my knees
What is happening to me?
What is happening to me?
What is happening to me?
What is happening to you?

Ohhh Today
The poison in the air (is there anybody out there to save me?)
Poison in the air (is there anybody out there at all?)
Poison fills the air with deadly chemicals (What would you do to save yourself? What would you do to save yourself?)
Tonight (Run for your life!)
Im afraid to walk outside, (maybe its your turn. Maybe its your turn)
At risk of being eaten alive
By fumes arising (No no no no no no...)
All around me (no no no no no no no no not...)
Tonight! (Tonight)
