Meeting... Oh my god.Mature

11:08 p.m.

My phone rang. I didn't realize I was drifting off to sleep until now. Wren? Oh my god. I couldn't talk to him now. It'd be too awkward. But I answered. And I couldn't help but smiling.

"Yeah?" I said, as if I didn't give a damn (but I did).

"Tomorrow night," he whispered, "we have to go see Luna."

"What?" I shouted.

"You, me, and Ariana."

"Shit. No."

"Shit, yes," he said.

I could tell he was biting his lip.

"No," I moaned.

"She knows. And she'll find you."

"Crap," I mumbled.

"And... Savannah's gonna be there."

My heart dropped along with my jaw.

"She'll kill me."

"Don't worry," he said, "she can't in front of Luna."

"But still. I'm gonna die tomorrow."

"Maybe," he laughed.

"It's not funny, Wren!"

"I know. It's not."

"Now what?"

"We can't run, sweetheart."

My heart jumped a little.

"Ok," I gulped, "it'll be ok."

"Hopefully," Wren mumbled.

"Don't scare me like that!" I shouted.

"Ok. Is Ariana sleeping?"

"Yeah. And Kelly."

"Do you need me?"

"'K, well... bye."

I hung up immediately. I bit my nails and roamed around the dorm. Someone knocked on the window.

"Noah?" I whispered.

I opened it.

"How'd you know my dorm room?" I asked, smiling.

He entered, looking hot and sexy as usual.

"I was roaming around after Wren's house. And I followed you."

"That's pretty creepy. Why?"

"I'm... extremely attracted to you for some reason."

"What?" I whispered.

He laughed.

"I heard about the meeting. You need my help? Don't worry, though. Luna won't kill you."

"But Savannah will."

"Savannah's not coming. Just Mr. Hartlem and Mrs. Hartlem."

"Oh thank god."

"Yeah," he said, "sorry for stopping by this late."

"It's ok. I'd like to get to know you better."

And we talked. For hours. I looked at the clock. It was 3:09 a.m.

"It's late," I whispered.

He smiled.

"I don't like the way Wren looks at you," he admitted.

"I mean... it just feels like you two have something going on."

"Well, we don't. Not anymore, anyway."

"So you're done?"

"Yep," I said.

"That's good," he whispered.

He kissed my cheek. His lips touched mine slightly.

"I'm gonna go," he said.

He winked and left. I smiled to myself and fell asleep.

10:47 a.m.

Wren was here making me food. I barely I even noticed the tiny kitchen in this room.  Kelly had gone to her classes for the day. Ariana was still sleeping.

"How'd you get in here?" I asked.

"The window was open," he said.

"Oh," I mumbled.

"Ready for today?" he asked, throwing me a plate.

"Yeah, I guess. What should I wear?"

"I don't know about that," he shrugged.

He placed a pancake on my plate.

"Thanks," I said.

"Who was here last night?" he asked.

I gulped.

"Why?" I asked.

"The window was open... how I got in."

"No one was here, ok?"

"Noah?" he asked, suspiciously.

"Would that bother you?" I asked.

"Well, he just doesn't seem right."

"Whatever, Wren."

I handed him my plate.

"I'm not gonna hurt you again, Sofie. Don't you trust me? And what happened last night meant something."

"Not to me."

"Yeah. It did."

"Please don't do this."

"Ok. Want another pancake?"

Just like that. Damn.
