At this point the WPC stepped forward and sat on the chair beside my bed, turning it so we faced each other. She had a kind look about her and if I’m honest it helped me to feel a little more at ease with the thought of being questioned, “Now Faith do you understand why we are here? We have to respond to any incidents like this when a paramedic reports it through to us.” She smiled “we have a number of questions for you but please don’t feel as if your being placed under any pressure to answer all of them as we appreciate that things may still be a little hazy for you and if at any time you wish to stop then please just say so and we can continue at another time when you are feeling better ok?” I took in everything she said, glad that Eric wasn’t here as it felt easier to think clearly without worrying what he might say “yes I understand, I don’t know how much help I will be but I will try my best” I said calmly trying to ignore the throbbing pain in my head
"i would like you to think back to earlier on, can you tell me why you were at the lake?" the policewoman sat beside me said. The taller policeman sat in the corner and took out a notepad and pen and sat poised in the corner, I took a deep breath and turned back to the police woman and told her exactly who and what I thought happened.
