Fairy tales ...
Snow White
I once lived in a fairytale,
A hazy castle in the air.
Skin white as snow-drops, sweet red lips,
By all the kingdom praised as 'fair'.
Then, banished to a cottage bare,
I earned my bread, I paid my salt,
The slave of seven miners, I
Soon saw how feathered dreams can moult.
The world's not perfect. There is fault.
My daydream fled, I lomged to die.
I ate the apple, bitter sweet,
Began to shudder, swoon and sigh.
At peace, I flew up to the sky,
Felt free from all the cursed black
Rotten reality of life,
Until Prince Charming dragged me back ...
