"Welcome to Balydia," a sign said as we entered.
"So, the name of the town is Balydia, huh?" I asked.
"It would appear so..." We entered the town and suddenly, Xajems disappeared.
"Where'd you go?" I asked.
"I had to go back into your heart..." I heard his voice say. "Anyone would think a cloaked man was mysterious." I nodded and walked around the village. The townspeople seemed friendly, and it was such a quaint little village.
"Hello," a man said to me. "Welcom to Balydia. We rarely get visitors."
"I'm James," I said. "I am actually on a journey to Artania, but I'm stopping here to rest for a while."
"I'm Daniel," the man said. "Perhaps I can help out. I know a guy who can give us a ride there."
"You skilled in combat, Daniel?" I asked. Daniel shrugged.
"I have crossbows," he replied. "I never really had to use them, though." I nodded and followed Daniel. "So, what brings a young one like you on a journey to Artania unattended?" asked Daniel.
"It's a long story," I said. "And you act as if I'm a kid compared to you. How old are you? Sixteen? Seventeen?"
"I'm actually thirty, but thanks for the compliment," Daniel chuckled. We walked through the village until Daniel stopped at someone's house. "HEY, AUSTIN!!! WE GOT A TRAVELER!!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming," a man sighed. I looked at the house and saw a man who looked to be about a year older than Daniel. "Who's the kid?"
"This is the traveler," Daniel told the man.
