Exiled
A woman of god stands before my door
Pleading for my soul because I can’t accept.
The devil is within me and I am plagued with sin,
Hell-bound, not a sound, no rebound;
Exiled from cultivation of the spirit.
God refuses to bargain with those who deal with the devil,
Those who believe of the ape and the man
One of both, we each are.
A strong heart lies not with God
But with the sins of the world; Science.
Exiled from the minds of the skeptic,
A heathen no less.
Pleading for my soul because I can’t accept.
The devil is within me and I am plagued with sin,
Hell-bound, not a sound, no rebound;
