Forcing myself out of Drew's arms, I clambered back out onto my roof and dropped down, absorbing the shock with bent knees. I straightened up and walked up behind Mr Callaghan.
"Hi!" I exclaimed into his right ear.
"Maddii! You have got to stop doing that!" Mr Callaghan shouted after jumping about half a foot in the air, luckily he always finds the funny side of it and started chuckling. "It amazes me how you do that."
"What did you want, Sir?"
"Maddii, this is Ethan. Ethan, this is Maddii. He's our latest recruit."
"Recruit? This is a boarding school not the army." I said, and held my hand out towards Ethan, "Hi, nice to meet you."
"Whatever," he said and made a pfft noise between his teeth. I retracted my hand quickly, blushing all the while.
"Ethan, we are always polite here, so watch your manners, especially to Maddii, our head girl, and Drew, our head boy." We really are the perfect couple, I thought. "Maddii is going to show you around, while I get your room set up, it's not quite ready with you being early," he said finally and walked away and up the stairs with Ethan's bags.
"Ok, I don't want to be here, and I know you don't either so why don't we just get this over with and you can do what you want." I said bluntly.
"Fine by me."
"Lets start with our kitchen," I began, leading him to the left, "this is where we can come and snack or if it's a Sunday we prepare our meals, we have a rota for this. If you're wondering about the tables, we eat breakfast in here too. Through these double doors is the dining-room, obviously where we eat. Breakfast is between 7 and 8, lunch is at 1, dinner is at 6 and supper is at 10 before bed at 11."
"We have a bedtime? Oh my."
"Unfortunately. Anyway, the lounge/chill out room is in there, everything from hi-def TV and wii to xbox 360 and popcorn machine. This is our classroom, there are only 2o kids here so we all share one room for our classes, plus we have training rooms, swimming pools, and the great big field outside for our more practical lessons." I spoke and walked quickly just pointing out the rooms instead of actually going in like I normally would, I just wanted to get back to my room and Drew.
I led him up the back stairway towards the now not-so-spare, spare room. "This will be your room any minute now, and just next door is everyones favourite room. Inside are a few easels, pool table, air hockey table, ping pong table, dancing machine, racing games, arcade games and a grand piano."
"I can see why everyone likes it."
"Ok, any questions?"
"None that I would ask you, no offence," he said, looking at anything but me.
"Just because you say "no offence" doesn't mean it's not offencive" I retorted slightly peeved now.
"Fine, offence meant." I took a deep breath, let it out slowly and tried not to claw his eyes out, trust me, I've done worse.
