A dragon.... a dragon!?!?!
Falcon shakes his head in disbelief. He can scarcely believe what he's hearing. He's come across a fair number of nasty creatures in his time, small goblins, imps and the like but not a dragon! As far as he'd ever known they'd only existed in legend or long ago, if at all. How were they going to fight off a dragon, immortal or no the thing could probably tear them to pieces before they could stop it. And as for walking right into it's lair... it was madness.
But what choice did they have? If they didn't get the Stone then not only would their friends be killed but Shadow would hunt them down and... Falcon didn't even want to think about that. If he was given a choice between Shadow's clutches and the maw of a dragon, he'd take the dragon any day. Also, there was a small amount of comfort in being able to put a name to the dark horror that had been lurking in the back of his mind. No longer was it some formless, shifting nightmare that seemed utterly invincible and terrifying in every way. Now, at least, he knew what he was up against.
"Alright then," he says, trying to sound practical and unphased. "Let's get a move on. We've got a long way to go to the Titan Islands so we'd best get as far as we can now while the weather's good. We'll deal with the rest later, after all, all we have to do is... slay a dragon?"
Eternal laughs, nudging him on the elbow. They walk off together, still following the ridge, Chocolate sulking at Eternal's heels.
