A Bird's Eye View...Literally

Dave reached back down far to find his lost shoe,

He reached around aimlessly, oh what could he do?

His attention was taken from the bright skies above

Where a bird soared and watched him, it was definitely no Dove

A piercing cry broke the air, and the bird shot straight down

Dave heard the call and shuddered, enough to make his pants brown

Before he could look up and possible save himself from defeat

Dave was swept up in sharp claws, meant to be fresh meat

He cried out in pain, his blue shoe forgotten

For now he was in danger and much worse begotten

He squirmed and he shifted and finally the claws gave way

But Dave was quite high, and he may as well fall all day
