Mara held out her hands expectantly as Kaze neared with the fruit in tow. Kaze gently
ran over her hands and arms, softly placing the fruit in her palms. It was heavier than
expected and Mara's arms dipped slightly, only to be caught by Kaze who lifted her hands
back up to their former position. Mara brought the fruit in close to her chest, supporting it
with more than just her hands, and thanked Kaze. Then she turned to face Joshua, pressing
the fruit against her, and she addressed him.
"I think it's about time for an overdue breakfast, wouldn't you say?"
Joshua smiled softly, his eyes relaxing as he nodded back at her. Mara's eyes widened
slightly at the surprise of seeing a smile on Joshua's face. It made him look much kinder,
and more human in a way she couldn't quite describe. Mara like that smile, and she smiled
back at him, stepping closer to Joshua, then sitting down. Joshua sat down as well, settling
down into a comfortable cross legged position. Mara looked down at the two fruits in her
hand, debating their looks, and trying to figure out just how they were going to eat them.
She looked back up with a shy, quizzical expression on her face.
"Kaze" she spoke softer than normal, hesitating slightly from her embarrassment.
"Can you... Well... Are you able to cut these fruits in half for us?"
Kaze lifted the fruit from her hands and carried up and to the side of Joshua and Mara.
Without so much as a hum in response to her question, Kaze held the fruit in midair. The a
high whistling noise pierced the air and the fruits were sliced in half by a fast, narrow wind.
It moved like a blade, cutting through the flesh of the fruits without spilling so much as a
drop of their juices. Kaze turned the fruit halves sliced side up, then carried them back
down to the waiting people. Kaze left half a slice of each fruit in the laps of Joshua and
Mara, then retreated behind them again.
