His green-brown eyes watched as Mara struggled to make herself speak, unable to form
her voice at his nearness. Her eyes were wide and her breathing fast, frozen in terror at
the man, yet defiantly trying to act unconcerned. She slowly twitched her head, managing
to both nod it and shake it at the same time. The sight brought a smile to his face, but the
man quickly hid it, pleading with her once more.
"I will not force you Mara. But I will follow you until you speak with me. Please, let me help
you back down to the ground. I only wish to talk."
Mara closed her eyes, swallowing as she tilted her head down. She stayed there, considering
her options, unable to look in the face of this man. Mara's hand reached out, and without a
word, she grasped the hand of the stranger. He held Mara's hand firmly, but gently, and
with a small tug he began their descent. Her body righted itself of it's own accord, and they
came to land on the ground without a jolt.
He released Mara's hand, and took a small step away from her. Kaze, now able to move,
started to jig back in forth in frustration. Kaze wanted to come between Mara and the man,
but a single glance from the man was enough to prevent Kaze from doing so. Mara finally
opened her eyes, and gazed at the ground, still not daring to look up at the man. He spoke
"My name is Joshua."
