Cry openly

The rejection wounds you deeply...you try to find that witty comeback, that perfect thing to say.

Instead you're flooded with a powerful wave of memories covering everything from when 'Daddy' took away your favourite stuffed animal to when you noticed your first crush holding hands with another boy.

The pain, it's unbearable.  You begin to cry hysterically right there and then, in the middle of the cafeteria.

Immediately, everyone stares at you.  What a wimp!

Laughter can be heard from some parts.

Your social life could well be effectively over.
