A dolphin was on its way to work one day when it spotted a barricade across its normal route; a bunch of police-whales had been arranged to block of the Inter-Ocean Current he normally took. Grumbling at the delay, the dolphin made his way around the blockade.

Passing along the detour route, he heard a few orcafficers discussing the cause of the blockage; an eel had, for some reason, been deathly hungry and decided to snack on a passing iceberg. Apparently the eel kept eating and eating until he was all swelled up and had got stuck in some coral up ahead.

Of course, this all resulted in the dolphin being late for work.

Upon finally arriving, he made his way straight to his boss' quarters to explain himself, as his boss was usually a stickler for rules.

"Sorry I'm late, boss," he said, "but some idiot moray gorged himself on an iceberg and got stuck in the reef. They had the whole section of the Current blocked off."

"Oh!" said his boss, who had already heard of the accident, "Snow-bigged eel!"

The object of this story and other posted after it is to prolong the story itself for as long as possible to work up to a ridiculous pun. The long the story, and the worse the pun, the better.

Alot of the humour comes simply from the anticlimax :)
