Doctor Who- The dangers of reading...

A short little drabble starring Ten and Donna. I do not own them, they belong to the Beebs, I'm just borrowing and playing nicely. :)

The Doctor’s head shot up from the book he was reading, and he glanced over at Donna. She sat cross-legged on the library floor, clutching a thick, leather-bound book in one hand and examining the index finger of the other closely.

“What is it?” He placed aside his own book and pushed his spectacles back up his nose, tilting his head inquisitively.

“Bloody paper cut!” Donna muttered, wincing as she continued to squint at her finger.

The Doctor slid from his seat and crouched down in front of her, taking hold of her wrist, he gingerly pressed his lips to the tiny cut marking the very tip of her finger. Donna inhaled sharply. For such a small cut it stung like hell!

“Stupid book,” she hissed, her expression of irritation dissolved into a smile as the Doctor kissed his way, gently up and down the rest of her finger. “Hey, there’s nothing wrong with the rest of my finger y’know…”

“I know…reckless reading, eh?” he grinned at her, pausing then resuming kisses once more.
