Darkened rooms,

Nothing to share.

My anticipation looms,

May I just stare?

A fiery moment,

The glint in your eye.

A lonely torment,

I start to know why.

Echoes of thunder,

Too far to believe.

Silence of wonder,

When hope begins to leave.
