It seems that straining to see in the dark is hurting your eyes more than you knew. After you’ve been gazing for a while at what should’ve been the tank’s ceiling you start thinking you could see tiny, weak points of light way up above. Shaking the water of your hand first, you give your eyes a rub. Staring to see sparks now…what next? You open your eyes slowly and the lights are still there. You blink a couple of times but they are still there. Tiny, but you could swear they are stronger, and more numerous.

You feel tightening in your chest and you close your eyes again. More deep breathing while you think about this. Would it be so bad to actually be able to see – and to have something to look at? You smile and think here there be stars. You open your eyes again
