Omelia barely said a word while Reeta jabbered on consistently as they walked. She didn't even know what Reeta was talking about, not even in general. Omelia just held her bag tightly to her chest and looked at her white, dirty shoes. Then finally she asked,

"Where are we going Reeta?" Reeta sighed and looked at her.

"I've been telling you about that for the last half an hour or so! We are going to my home! Don't you listen girl!" Reeta laughed but Omelia didn't think it was very funny, she looked back down at her shoes and exhaled. "Sorry," Reeta whispered, "I didn't mean to be rude it's just...I don't understand why a girl like you would be running away from home!" Reeta exclaimed.

"What do you mean a girl like me?!" She looked up in shock.

"A girl who is pretty, and looks rich and intelligent," Reeta looked up at the sun.

"Oh..." Omelia didn't know what to say to that.

"Well, aren't you going to tell me why you ran away from your home?!" Reeta smiled at her.

"I don't really want to talk about it. Or think about it," Omelia whispered uneasily.

"We're friends now Omelia, you can trust me," She smiled.

"We're friends?" Omelia asked in shock.

"If you want to be," They smiled at each other.

"I've never had a friend before..." She blushed and looked up at Reeta.

"Me neither," Reeta replied.
