Chapter 2: Stupid For You.

As I walk towards my dormroom, listening to the songs on my iPod; it was not until I stopped by the bulletin board to pick up one of the NEU (Northeastern University) Newsletter; that my name was being called out, when Gilbert put his hand on my shoulder. "Babe!" I looked over at him, gasping for air and saw hi lips move. I took the earphones out of my ears and asked, "Gilbert? Are you okay? Why were you running?" "Babe! I've been running after you since you passed the Arts building!" Gilbert answered, obviously upset for chasing my halfway across the campus. "Uhm, its called a phone....But, anyway...I have to go. Bye. I'll see you later okay?" I say as I begin to walk away, at a casually faster pace than usual. At that moment, I felt like a complete idiot. I felt like my brain was going to explode at any minute. How could I forget that I had a boyfriend?! i've had one for almost 2 years! And, still...I find myself thinking about the girl named Angel, and not finding the will inside of me to just....stop. Suddenly, my phone starts to vibrate, I glance at it and realize i've recieved a text message from Gilbert.

"Babe. I know you're in a hurry, but I was just worrying about you. you're acting really weird. Call me later,k? love you.

- G.R "

I roll my eyes at the text message, and find myself slightly annoyed rather than glad that Gilbert's concerned for me. Then I realize, What's wrong with me?! i usually love it when Gilbert can read my mind like that! I sigh  and suddenly find myself in front of my dorm. I take my key out of my pocket and make my way into the room.

As I enter the room, I glance towards Quinn's (my roomate) side of the room, to see if she's around. But, instead of Quinn sitting on her bed reading a book, I see Angel staring right at me. Suddenly, I couldn't speak, couldn't breathe, and I couldn't stop staring at her. "Hi." she greeted, as she smiled at me. i swallowed..hard. I tried to speak, but nothing came out, so I cleared my throat and said, "H.Hi...? Uh....Q..Quinn..Is..Where...?" Angel looked at me and gave out a little chuckle. "You're from my Writing class, right? ... Taylor?" I didn't want to embarrass myself by talking again, so I nodded. But, when I nodded Angel stood up and started walking towards me, and me being as nervous as I was; began backing away from her, until the back of my heels hit the side of my bed and I fell backwards onto it. She stood over me and smiled, while she leaned towards me and whispered into my ear,

"I love the faces you make when you're nervous."

The feeling of her breath on my ear made me feel like I was literally going crazy; so crazy that I didn't even notice my eyes close, and when opened them Angel was gone. Was it all a dream? i sat up from my bed and looked around, only to find Quinn sitting on her bed typing away at her laptop. " How long have you been sitting there?" I asked, Quinn stared at me as if I was crazy and replied, "For about an hour. When I got here you were sleeping." "An hour?!"  I yell out, accidentally. I was asleep for an hour?! Now I know I was dreaming. Damn, if I saw her now....I'd tell her one thing....

You've got me Stupid for you.
