A story of a broken boy and a lost girl.

My world shattered. Her words were the straw on the camel's back. I was so used to disappointment, but I thought she was different. I thought she would understand. I made it back to my room without letting a single tear fall, but once inside I broke. I collapsed onto the floor and cried in utter despair. I let down the rickety dam that was holding back the hate. I let it wash over me and give me something, some reason to live even if it was pathetic. I let the spark of anger grow into a blazing fire and then IT came. Another soul, no another being just like mine

I raced into the forest. Ahhhh it was so cool and refreshing. The forest is a place full of life and hope. I danced around in circles, rolled in the crunchy leaves, and felt the rough bark as I climbed trees. I settled onto a branch and pulled out my book. I got so lost in that book; by the time I looked up the sun was setting. I quickly got down and headed back. I reached into my bag to grab my cell. I pulled it out but the battery was shot. Not only that, but I just realized I had no idea how to get back. Ahhhhhhhhhh I yelled in frustration. I stood there in the middle of the woods trying to come up with some idea of what to do. If I walk in one direction then I have to end up somewhere I reasoned. I started walking. I got a little nervous as the sun faded, but this place was my second home (even if I keep forgetting the way) so I wasn't too frightened. A slight breeze grazed my cheek; it almost felt like a hand caressing my face. I smiled, it was a nice feeling. Then another wind came that felt like a hand on my back guiding me. I figured it might be an angel, so I let it, but something started to feel wrong.

I turned the opposite way. I heard footsteps, but not from behind. They were coming towards me. I turned to my left and walked that way. I wasn't sure what kind of person would be in the forest this late at night other than me, and I didn't think I wanted to meet them. I picked up my pace to a trot. I'm not quite sure why, though.

"Hey!" A male’s voice called from behind me. I think I jumped three feet into the air. "Hey, Hey you!" The voice called and I heard their footsteps speed up. I turned around to see someone about 15 or 16. "Do you know the way out of here?" He asked.

"No. I'm lost too." I replied then lifted a hand to my mouth. What if this guy is a sexual predator? or or a murderer looking for victims?

"Oh." He said disappointed

"Sorry." I replied feeling a bit more at ease. I looked at him again. He had dark hair, possibly dyed black (it was hard to tell in moonlight). His face had soft features that made him look kind, and his eyes radiated warmth. His tank top revealed sturdy muscles, and tan skin. He was a bit taller than me and all around very hot.

"So, what should we do?" He asked. I squirmed a bit; I mean I was alone in a forest with a really attractive guy, who wouldn't feel even a little nervous?

"Uh...my plan was to simply walk in one direction, and hopefully end up somewhere." I replied looking at the ground.

"Sounds like a plan. Mind if I join you?" He asked

".......Sure." I replied still looking at the ground.

"Let’s go then." he said putting a hand on my back. I flinched away. Not that I minded it, mind you, but I was sort of surprised.

"Sorry." he said running a hand through his hair.

"It's alright." I said shyly.

The End
