Depression. The dictionary describes depression as sad feelings of gloom and inadequacy and they’re right but they don’t understand the force of depression. You can only fully understand what depression really is until someone you love goes through it or you go through it. Because while the dictionary says sad feelings of gloom, that’s not all. People, who have had depression, describe it as a blackness thrown over them, like a blanket they can’t throw off. Like a shadow blocking all the light and happiness until your only left with darkness hovering above you, a deathly barrier between you and happiness. Depression is a constant battle, a battle that not everyone wins.
